Ultra-compact and highly flame-retardant, the PX22CH PolyFIX-FRNC Audio Multicore passes the flame spread test for cable bundles with a rating of Category C - not least because of its FRNC outer jacket. The cable has a conductor cross-section of 0.22 mm² and is designed for long transmission distances. It comprises up to 24 wire pairs, each pair with a TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) jacket colour-coded in groups of 8 and numbered individually. As TPE can be extruded in low wall thicknesses, the individual channels are extremely slim, giving the multicore a highly compact overall diameter and low fire load. Foil shields protect the pairs against electromagnetic interference and the underlying pre-tinned drain wire ensures rapid contact. The cable has an overall shield of densely braided copper with 85 per cent screening which likewise has a drain wire. All copper wires are tinned, providing significant time savings in working with the cable.
