The plastic drum itself is breakproof and has a brake. The hub has two integrated XLR connectors (male and female) in parallel wiring; the cable end is made up with an XLR connector from Neutrik’s X-HD series. These connectors are of solid metal and designed for heavy-duty use; they are ideal for touring, and even comply with IP65 water ingress protection rating when connected. The drum system uses our finest cable, the MC5000. With fine strands with solid overall cross-section of 0.5 mm² and superb capacitance of only 55 pF/m, the MC5000 delivers virtually lossless signal transmission. Its sophisticated design, unique to KLOTZ, repels external interference more effectively than any other cable. An extruded PVC core provides stability for the twisted strands and ensures the M5 is rugged enough to pass tough testing of over 25,000 bending cycles. And with a finely stranded core offering ultra-low precision tolerances, the M5’s attenuation and EMC values are excellent. When conditions are at their most challenging, only the M5 Cable Drum System will do. Wherever touring life takes it, this is one drum that can’t be beaten!
