The bigger the event, the more sophisticated the equipment needs to be. The M2 Cable Drum System is the ideal choice, ably coping with the toughest conditions of live performance without missing a beat. The plastic drum itself is breakproof and has a brake. The hub has two integrated XLR connectors (male and female) in parallel wiring; the cable end is made up with an XLR connector from Neutrik’s X-HD series. These connectors are of solid metal and designed for heavy-duty use; they are ideal for touring, and even comply with IP65 water ingress protection rating when connected. The cable used for the M2DX is our pro standard MC2000 bulk cable, with the same design as the proven MY206 but featuring a particularly rugged PVC jacket with 6.5 mm external diameter for smooth, easy drum winding. Its “core values” are also well worth a look: with 0.22 mm² conductor cross-section, highly effective copper spiral shield and ultra-precise twisted core stranding, the cable is extremely flexible and resistant against external electromagnetic interference. Capacitance – that essential criterion that’s so important for sound quality – is a pleasingly low 60 pF/m.
