This cable forms the basis of the KLOTZ Universal Multicore System and was designed after requests by rental companies seeking options for complete sound and lighting system cabling that would avoid interference from different earth potentials. The cable includes four CAT5 data lines enabling devices to be connected in digital audio networks using Dante™, CobraNet® or EtherSound® and which can also transmit lighting control signals via ArtNet® or MA Net. The eight digital audio channels can be used for DMX lighting control, equipment control signals based on RS485 protocol or CAN bus, or for analogue or digital audio (sound, monitoring and intercom). A power line with 3 x 2.5 mm² cross-section provides power for equipment such as an FOH (Front of House) mixing desk and can also cope with long distances.
